Georgia 811 is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to preventing damage to Georgia’s underground utilities and promoting public safety.
The Georgia Public Service Commission requires, by law, that anyone doing work in the vicinity of overhead high voltage lines must notify Georgia 811 at least 72 hours in advance, excluding weekends and holidays, to enable the owner or operator of the high-voltage lines to determine the precise tract or parcel of land involved.
