The History
Incorporated on May 10, 1937, Upson Electric Membership Corporation is a member-owned electric cooperative service portions of six counties including Upson, Pike, Talbot, Meriwether, Crawford, and Taylor. It has over 1,395 miles of line serving over 9,500 meters and 7,200 members.
Upson EMC is one of 42 electric cooperatives in Georgia. It is governed by a Board of Directors, who meet monthly.
